Erik Salin is a French artist born in 1960 in Paris. He lives and works in the South of France.

He is one of the most renouned custom painters in France according to the specialised press. Erik Salin explored numerous techniques and media throughout his career: painting, drawing, acrylic, watercolors, ink wash painting, trompe l'oeil...); he mixes and overlaps them to find new directions and ideas that he uses in his sculptures.

Strongly influenced by Pop Art, his practice reflects the codes and symbold of our consumer society. Erik Salin hijacks ordinary objects, associates them, and always pays attention to the finish and the aesthetic side of his works. Somestimes, they send a critical message about our lifestyles and mentalities.

His bold and surprising artwork reflects the free spirit of the artist.
