Zouhair Dabbagh was born in Aleppo in 1953. He pursued and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in 1977 from the Damascus University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Sculpture Department.
He has participated in several exhibitions since 1970 in his hometown, Beiryt, Paris, Singapore, Geneva, Luxembourg and some of his artworks are exhibited in the permanent collection of the Damascus Museum, as well as in private collections in Ankara, Dubai, Germany, KSA, Paris and Canada.
The artist is currently living and working in Beirut, Lebanon.

Who is the artist?

Syrian artist Zouheir Dabbagh is an artist who received his BFA in sculpture from Damascus University, Faculty of Fine Arts. His work is collected internationally is included in the permanent collection at the Damascus Museum. His bronze sculptures combine contemporary with classical techniques and forms to maintain the timeless subject matter of the female body. Although primarily a sculptor, he brings the same vigour to his paintings, his canvases become markers of the body and of movement, layered with versatile texture and pigment.
